Developing a Shutdowns, Turnarounds and Outages Methodology (Practitioner level)

WASTO83
(Operations & Maintenance)

Course Overview

Shape the future of your shutdown, turnarounds and outages in your organizations by defining a S.T.O methodology that fits your organization and meets current industry best practice.
Turnaround failures remain a problem with budgets being exceeded and targets dates missed. Part of the issue is that turnarounds are often treated or managed using EPC project management methodologies. This course targets the development of an S.T.O methodology using S.T.O best practices and management principles.
The course will guide Business Assurance personnel and S.T.O. Managers in the development of a robust and comprehensive S.T.O. Methodology document that follows current industry best practices in the planning, preparing and execution of S.T.O. activities.
Upon completion the candidates should be capable of producing a relevant S.T.O. document suitable for implementing within their own organization.
