Course Overview

This five day course provides students with an understanding of the key elements of decision analysis (DA) and the ability to practice using the tools in the context of typical oil and gas decisions including exploration, development, mid-stream and down-stream processing or marketing projects that lead to business growth.
DA techniques and tools are used to make higher value, higher quality decisions and to have consistent evaluations throughout an organization. DA provides a methodology to clarify objectives, create alternatives, quantify risks and assess the range of costs, possible liabilities and benefits. The process helps to build confidence in the alternative proposed for implementation.
